June 1st 2021 Blyth to Aviemore

Pied Wagtail, Cairngorm.

What can I say about the journey North...240 miles of pathetic drivers who shouldn't even be allowed to sit on a sofa...let alone behind a steering wheel!
I stopped briefly at Skateraw, near Torness power station and saw a female Pied Flycatcher, Grey Heron, Rock Pipit and Gannets. Little else.

I arrived in Aviemore with two hours to spare before check in. I drove up Cairngorm Mountain and saw Ring Ouzel but the most exciting thing was a helicopter airlifting supplies to workmen repairing the funicular railway.
