Black-necked Grebe
Heading North to Northumberland today and decided to have a few hours at St Aiden's RSPB to see the Black-necked Grebe's.
Had a long walk around the Reed bed trail. No sign of the Franklin's Gull unfortunately but a shed load of elusive Bitterns...5 booming males noted and 2 seen briefly. A few Common Terns were noted and a single Mediterranean Gull. Several pair of Black-necked Grebe's were seen including some feeding young.
