30/05/21 Northumberland - Sidwood & Kielder

Two-banded Longhorn Beetle - Rhagium bifasciatum Sidwood

Visited my lovely sister and brother in law in Bellingham today then visited Sidwood nature reserve. Lots of birds nearby including Redstart, Green Woodpecker, Eurasian Nuthatch, Spotted Flycatcher and Eurasian Woodcock
A few invertebrates were seen including the Two-banded Longhorn Beetle, Coleophora  serratella, Eriocrania semipurpurella and Grapholita jungiella.
Three Red Squirrels were present.

It would have been rude not to visit Kielder as it's only a few miles from Sidwood. Raptors were everywhere. The best, by far were a female  Hen Harrier, Osprey and a male Goshawk!
The North Tyne had Dipper, Mandarin and a family of Goosander.
